Everyone,
We need to get some information from everyone interested in joining the Fall softball team.
For those interested, I need to find out the following:
- All people interested in playing - members and friends (please provide full name and e-mail address)
- Your experience level
- Your preferred SOFTBALL position
- Do you own any softballs and/or softball bats
- Your ability to practice at least one day a week (possibly Saturday morning at 9:00am at Nickajack Park in Smyrna)
- Your commitment level - since this is a 5 week schedule, please make sure that you can commit to being at all games
- This is a recreational league with games being played at Piedmont Park
- The cost per person is $25
- All participants will be furnished a team t-shirt to wear (ours will be brown), but will need their own glove and rubber cleats (preferred) - no metal cleats permitted.
The games will be play on 9/27, 10/04, 10/11, 10/25 and 11/08. There will be 2 games per week, and the games will be on Sunday between 10:00am - 2:00 pm.
All interested participants must sign up at Outwrite Bookstore, next Saturday, September 12 between 11:00am - 1:00pm. The dues of $25 will be paid at this time.
This is a fun league, and win or lose, we'll be there to have some fun. After the games HSL (Hotlanta Softball League) will continue the tradition of Host Bars, so we can all get better acquainted and have fun off the fields as well as on! The locations of the host bars will be announced on the HSL website - http://hotlantasoftball.org/ - prior to the games.
If interested, please notify Mike W at gadawg404@yahoo.com so that I can get an idea as to how many participants we will have, and how many we have to pick up prior to our first game.

I was at Outwrite Bookstore today hoping to see anyone who was interested in playing Fall Softball, which starts Sept 27. If you were unable to make it today, there is still time to sign up. All of the teams MUST be set by Wednesday, Sept 16. Therefore, anyone who IS interested but could not make it today, please let me know ASAP. I will get you a sign up sheet and we can collect the entry fee prior to the start of the game. We also need to find out who will be playing so that we can arrange for the T-shirts to be delivered.
And one correction to my previous posting - Piedmont Park has asked that we NOT wear any type of cleats on the fields. Therefore, sneakers should be worn to the games.
